Operating theaters El Tesoro invested $2.5 billion to expand its surgical services and serve 750 patients per month

Operating Rooms El Tesoro expands its installed capacity to 11 operating rooms thanks to the opening of two more operating rooms that will allow it to perform 750 surgeries per month, of which 10% corresponds to foreign citizens, mostly from the United States and Europe.
The new surgery spaces are complemented with hospitalization services thanks to six hotel suite-type beds, which allow the institution to be a national benchmark in the provision of medium-complexity procedures, among which are plastic surgeries, general surgery, bariatric, urology, gynecology and ophthalmology.
During seven years of providing its services, Quirófanos El Tesoro has not stopped growing. It began providing its services with seven operating rooms in 1,900 square meters, today it already has 2,500 meters in which a human team with expertise and human quality works, made up of 20 anesthesiologists, 40 nurses, five nursing managers and nursing assistants who support the work of 60 surgeons who monthly make use of the operating rooms equipped with the latest technology.
Throughout its history, El Tesoro Operating Rooms has performed 70,000 surgeries without any mortality due, among other things, to a rigorous selection process and filters that have allowed it to have some of the best surgeons in the city and the country.
Likewise, thanks to a high quality, safety and user-focused service, the institution achieved Health Accreditation by the Ministry of Health and ICONTEC.
This new advance achieved by Quirófanos El Tesoro allows Medellin to continue consolidating itself as a recognized destination for the provision of high-quality health services both in the country and abroad.
